Nic is lucky I'm not looking at this in bed, otherwise she would have to sleep in the wet patch.

So awesome mate, well done.

Righto,my heart rate has settled back down now. The last we while has kinda been building to this,I bit the bullet and bought an auto trans controller and although it wasn't cheap I'm pretty happy with the decision. It pretty much plugged in,there were a few wires to hard wire but not many more then wiring in a head unit.It has 2 maps so I can have a sluggish around town map and a wild party map.It also has torque converter lock up and manual mode which we needed for the dyno as it holds it in gear and you can rev it to the moon.I took it for a drive up the street on monday and everything behaved well so I went and spoke to my dyno man Garry at PAD racing. He lent me his vacuum gauge so I could balance the ITB's,I spent about an hour and a half on that and got them all pretty equal.
So yesterday I got to PAD's about 9:30 got the car set up and Garry got to work messing around with the fiddly low range stuff, made harder by the ITB's.just before lunch he started playing a bit higher in the RPM.The thing sounded wild, you could feel the noise in your chest. We got a 278rwhp that I was pretty stoked with but that was at about 6500rpm.Garry started getting carried away with the revs raising the limiter 500rpm at a time,we ended up with 335rwhp@8000 and had lunch. After lunch we lit up the cam timing solenoid and pretty much started again.the cam timing changes about 7deg when you flick it on but what a change in torque, the torque curve went from a straight line to shooting straight up and plateauing,it was clear from the get go we were gonna make more power with these on,so Garry set about tidying up the bottom end before more power runs.Nows when we hit 358rwhp,I pretty much shat my pants, sooo far above expectations. So now we had 2 maps to play with, the only disadvantage to using the torquier map is economy,so we came up with a cunning plan to turn on the cams and swith maps at 50% throttle. This means econo cruising but party when needed.
So after 7ish hours and correcting for air temp etc my graph makes 367rwhp@8000 on PAD's dyno on friday the 18th of jan,I'm sure that number would be different on any other dyno in town on any other day but the main thing is it drives and runs smoothly and it smashed my expectations to bits.Garry reckons the trumpets were just starting to work at 7700rpm because theyre so short but they were made to fit under the bonnet not to make perfect power. The rev limiter is set at 8000 but it'll change gear well before that so itll only ever hit limiter in top gear...
Fucken perfect day,no problems at all which was amazing considering.the paint thats 10mm away from the extractors didnt bubble the auto behaved and I didnt blow up my motor!Huge thanks to Garry at PAD,your a wizard!
Motivation has skyrocketed so I'll be tucking into my airbag controller this week, shits getting real now :burnout:

WOW WOW WOW, 8000 rpm from a standard block, I dont think you could do that with a chev or a ford motor, well done, and dont forget that the rangiora car show is on next week

That's super awesome!
Did you play with the auto maps on the dyno at all?
