Yeah nearly proper drivable once I sort out the brake bleeding... they've used of the shelf springs which are still very firm otherwise I'd need custom coils

With Jesse's help we picked up the 180B sat morning from chamberlains with the sway bar, wheel alignment and rear coils all finished!! Could not be happier with there work and highly recommend them!! After dropping the car trailer back to chamberlains I picked up my new workbench that I got for a steal! Cleaned up the garage and set the bench up to get some serious work done. Got a lot of hard work ahead but it's going to be so worth it when it's all done. ImageImageImageImage

That is a sweet bench Greg. Pity it doesn't have a vice though. (yet) I fully rate that Homack stuff. (even though mine is still in the box)

Sorry I ran out of time to finish your half shaft.

Sure is Bart! Yeah a vice would be perfect might start looking for one even if it's a small one. All good man I'll get that shaft for the lowrel sorted eventually

Jacked the 180 up yesterday and measured how much I need to shorten the rear shocks by at full droop from the top of the shock to center of bolt was 590mm and with the arm jacked up til the spring was captive I got about 485mm. But I'm not sure if these can be shortened anyone know? I did a bit of searching at work and found shorter 4wd ones that will work too... also made a start at mounting handbrake cables looks like I'm missing just a few bits and pieces. The little nuts that go on the threaded end at the lever end and the little but that holds the Y piece on to the lever arm too..... I was under the impression that the cable conversion was straightforward but maybe not... the cable sheath has quite a bit of slack in it and the inner cable doesn't seem long enough! Anyone able to shed some light on this??

Also on the datsport website on their fitting guide they have an extra hole on the handbrake lever arm but no details on how far accross it should be :S

I think from memory one of the nuts is quite long and then there's a locking nut on it and it's just a clevis pin you need for the Y piece, you can get them from ISL. If they're the same James might have the bits on the Z31 crossmember I gave him? If not I might have them at home.

Get the new shorter shocks from work (probably hilux? i had mitsi pajero rears in the back of the y lol) - too much mucking around with those.

just make sure you throw in ones that either have the dust shield like what you have or put a rubber boot on like the 4wd ones (even rack boots work cable tied on) on the rear they get alot of stones and the like chucked at them from the front.

Yeah been looking at work again today. Looks like some from a suzuki s410 fronts will do the trick have the dust shield on just need to check the bush at the bottom. Sweet djz I can get clevis pins from work pretty sure we have em on the shelf. Any ideas on where I'd find a long nut thing for that threaded adjuster? Or is a pick a part mish on the cards...
