Ive put it off as long as i can but now its time to get into pannel work...sigh.I ripped the doors apart the other night, theyve got about 10 times as much stuff in them as 1200 doors its unreal.I took the front doors off and sand blasted the shuts at work, cut out and welded the rust last night and bare metaled them tonight.theyre in awsome condition with minimal rust and no bog  .the painters are gonna epoxy them tomorrow morning then we'll fix the few small dents in them.
It seemed like a step backwards taking the doors off coz now it looks like a shell,It still looked like a car before but you gotta do....

Very nice. How did you strip the paint. I need to do this soon and never having done it before need in on the secrets. I like secrets, like secret squirrel

Go and get a few litres of Tergo strip, plastic, a broad bristle brush, and some thick rubber gloves.

Scratch crosses into the paint about the size of chess squares.Deep, but not gouging the steel
Paint it on straight from the container
Put plastic over it to seal in the reaction
Wait 3-5 mins
Peel off the plastic
Scrape off sludge with a bog blade or similar
Wait until its mostly gone, and wipe it with thinners to reveal the beautiful bare steeeeeel.

Adversely, Go and buy a few 3M purple stripping wheels, attach to grinder and take paint off in the way you would machine buff a new paint job. Do not hold it in the same spot for much longer that two seconds, as you risk heat warping the panel..but they work wicked.
