Rota RB's. Ride height looking very high. Not much weight in it yet but already thinking we have to swap the springs around. Time will tell.

Probably not the place to post this but....

The upholsterer informs me that the headliner that I removed for the car is not Nissan but Ford.

So now I am after some close up images of early 240z foam backed headliners so we can find as close a match as possible. If you know of any or similar Nissans from 1970/71 with foamed back headliners, please post some pics.

Cheers

James

Looking good James.
What are the little red tags poking out of the bulk head?
Excited much?

Cheers Vaughan,

Those tabs are where the plastic tool covers fix to. One of the quirky features you only find in an early S30. Those tool box lids were not on the car when I got it and haven't been available for decades.
Others include the speedo that starts at 20mph, Nissan 2400 OHC rocker cover, chrome coat buttons instead of hooks, solid B pillar, vented hatch etc.

This car has been retrofitted by a previous owner with the tool boxes under the deck as yours will have, hence the split in the deck carpet. The rear deck where they are should have been "Swiss cheese".

The loop pile looks great, glad I took your advice.

I have never seen those covers, l recall you talking about the swiss cheese, shame your's are missing. Interesting anomilies in these old girls. My 71 has the chrome hanger knobs i think, but none of the rest, and i think it is # 864 or something, but right hand drive of course.
I didn't miss the carpet detail, but just smiled to myself. Good choice I think. But that is my past speaking. It is looking good James. Will be great to see it out soon!
