Took the datto for its first track day on sat and was really happy with how it was going until she threw the waterpump/alt belt and it overheated and bent all the exhaust valves. I had the week from hell getting it going but I wont go into it as if there was anything that could have gone wrong it id. I picked i up from the dyno on friday and headed to taupo on sat morning for a BMW track day. I was the only datto there and was really proud to be picking the odd bmw off here and there over the track. I was unsure if my spedo was correct as i shot past my brother down the main straight at 120MPH but turns out my brother was doing 190kph so it must have been accurate haha.

anyway had fun just gutted it shit itself and i think going by the pics im in need for some decent sway bars front and back.

THANKS SHANE FOR BEING A TOP CO DRIVER/PIT CREW AND ALSO TRYING TO GET ME BACK ON THE TRACK, CHEERS MATE

Woah mega bodyroll!!
Could you try fitting twin original 1600 front swaybars??
If not, I have a 20mm front swaybar, but I guess you wanna go bigger than that aye.

At some stage I will import a kit I found yesterday from out of the states that is a 25mm front and 20mm rear for bugger all with All the mounting kits needed

I think I found the kit youve mentioned, didnt have any info on whether it suits engine conversions like SR, FJ etc.

I have given myself a kick up the arse and getting stuck into getting engine back together. Luckily enough ive got an engine builder putting it back together for love.
I done the horrible job od wrapping the headers tonight and now am really itchy from it. I also made a heat deflector plate to go inbetween side draughts and extractors so hoping it stops the engine getting a guts full of hot air :fire: . had some new valves fitted to head today and the head skimmed again after mishap, and new rings turned up today as im replacing them due to engine getting hot and im worried they might have lost tension etc
