sorry boys, been busy preparing the 2K cup car for racing in Chch for the weekend.
Well I am stoked, my hard work and attention to detail has not gone unrewarded - here is the Cert list of things to address:
most issues are minor WOF issues not due to upgrade thankfully!:
1) Speedo too inaccurate, reads 75mph at 60 mph
- yeah knew my wheel/diff/gearbox changes would alter this & knew it was way out when I did 90 mph in 3rd gear
will have to investigate how to calibrate
2) No High beam on lights
Yes knew that, as terminals corroded inside switch, hence been trying to source another one recently ;0
3) Horn doesnt work
Yep knew that; crap cheap boss kit, will probably mount a button in dash in the spare choke or ciggy lighter hole
4) No bump stops in front shocks
Yep knew that - could not be bothered fitting some after it was together, so this was my intentional 'leave something for the certifier' move
5) Rear too low and riding on bump stops - reset springs or remove lowering blocks
Well yeah knew that it was perfect look, so obviously slightly illegal
will prob replace my 40mm blocks with some 16-20mm alloy billet bar from Dads work
And thats it !
