Unfortunately ACC couldnt get hold of my boss for further income details (despite same pay every week)...and hes away whitebaiting.... and cut me another $200 per week. A 40% pay cut doesnt fund a project car sorry lads.
So as gutted as i am, i cannot finance this project any faster. And i still owe money for work done last week on this.
I cannot make waimate, but anyone who fancies looking at an unfinished project car is more than welcome to view it/give me the motorvation that has gone.
Il take a day or two, then look at doing something to it again.
*if anyone wants to drive the ute down it is available. its embarrasingly rough. but very reliable. A12 5speed. 3100rpm at gps 100km/ph. 550km per tank open road driving. $68 to fill.
Bummer dude. Just want to say that yours and Wal's threads have been motivating me to work on my car so cheers.

hey everyone, waimate looked awesome! stupid acc.
im cleared fit to work again finally so once im debt free il get back into this thing.
in saying that today i plumbed up new bprojects silicon heater hose lines with new grommets and hose clamps, installed the driveshaft with high tensile bolts, fitted new front bumper brackets and bumper bolts, and went over all suspension/steering to splitpin/recheck every nut and bolt i touched in front end.
fitted foam between body and radiator
need a stubby spanner to tighten gbox to gbox mount which brendan is kindly lending me.
gonna get carbs rebuilt as i dont want to run in a new engine with carbs in unknown cond after a 5 year break on the shelf. will get gal to vapour blast manifold and exteriors of carbs, rezinc all bolts gold and get it jetted etc to suit my engine.
pics are very boring so wont bother unless someone wants them

Carbs back from palmside, fully reassembled and checked over/jetted etc.
Vaped thanks to gal
Plated all bolts too.
Very happy.
This thing is SO painfully close to going, all I'm doing now is chasing earthing issues. THATS. FUCKING. IT.
(Of course when I say me I mean Brendan because I'm hopeless as fuck with anything electrical )
Was hoping to pull up in it today but no such luck.
