I don't have a proper feeler gauge set, but i have one random gauge from a set that is .05 to big, so i just set it so it just cant slip in... Its the best i can do with what i have :?
pay day is going to be good this week so i might have to get some new toys :dance2:
I don't have my workshop manual on me atm (It in Annie and i can't be bothered moving :P )
But It has the correct settings and i will have another go on thursday with my new toys :)

Does any one have or know where i can get a new Ignition barrel? the guts has fallen out of the back of mine... :puke:
The steering lock still works  But after a good look it seems like the electics decided that the zip tie holding them in wasn't good enough anymore...??

Looks like my grandad had dodgy'd up a few things :fart:

If you are buying toys get a dwell meter to set the points, far more accurate than feeler gauge. you can get them combine with a timing light if you haven't got one of those. Everytime you adjust the points you adjust the timing.
All the best, enjoy

you can use a multi meter as a dwell meter but forgot how.
No matter where you go, there you are.

If you're going to buy a timing light, buy one with a "dial back" feaure. It'll cost more, but will be helpfull if you ever get onto building performance e engines.

What is the advantage of the 'dial back' feature?
