I closed my eyes, so no emotional scarring occurred.

Great day out yesterday.
Special thanks to everyone who pitched in to help. There is a surprising amount of work in running this meet. And it simply couldn't be run as well without the hard work people put in. Great job guys! (and girls)

Thanks to all who came from far and wide.
and, :useless:

Hi guys,

It was awesome to be part of this event! great people great cars and I take my hat off to the organiser!! Good job guys!
I felt embarrassed to have my truck there among the others that were so tidy and clean!
But when you have a 24/7 job and a 18 months old baby there is not enough hours in your day unfortunately. Sorry about my truck being so unprepared dirty and uncompleted but watch this space..! being part of this event gives me more motivation to get things done and give more love to my truck!

Cheers guys!!

I got a few pics and a short video of cars heading up the summit road. The laurel was getting a bit hot heading up to the hilltop will post a video of the 'weeing' out the overflow when I popped the bonnet. Seemed to run fine on the way back can't wait to get the 180 out next year. Thanks to everyone who came along and helped out, without you guys and girls it wouldn't be the legendary cruise that it is!

Was anyone else down to 1st gear and 20kph on the steeper parts of the summit road?

I thought I was going to have to reverse it up...

I almost forgot,
The biggest thanks of all should go out to our sponsors!

Proparts Hawkes Bay Thanks to Craig Phillips for donating some sweet prizes.

Cockram Nissan, Cheers to Tony and Scott for coming to the party with some freebies.

Powerbuilt Tools. Thanks Simon Wood

And Swann Insurance.

And for those who couldn't make it on the day, the prizes went to the following people,

PEOPLES CHOICE, went to John Van Beek (SKDMRX) for his magnificent Cedric SGLE.
MOST DEDICATED, went to Todd (Monsta01) For traveling down from Rotorua, in a car that wasn't ready until the last minute.
MOST IMPROVED, was won by Joel Brown for the upgraded wheels, motor and suspension in his 1200 ute since last year.
HARD LUCK went to Vaughan Fenton (Classicdat) for suffering gearbox failure at the track evening.

Yes, but only because going over serious bumps or around corners uphill I was experiencing extreme guard rub and didn't feel like getting the hard luck award for having two shredded tyres
