ive been hanging out to lay some rubber. they still get warrents so cant bring myself to destroy them as they look pretty choice on there.

thanks man i wish i was closser to you as i believe its been re roofed at some stage and the rear pillar joins are a bit wobly for my likings. your threads are some awesome stuff love the work.

so my plans for the coupe are a bit like this engine transplant like sr20det or Hayabusa engine or rotor or even one of those sv6 holden engines i know i should keep it in the family but i love the sound of the Hayabusa engine and rotors sound fuckin cool too (i know that comment will ruffle a few feathers) street/sprints/trackdays car. as i have a wife two kids and a mortgage this wont happen any time soon so i have started doing other things in preperation for the engine transplant i bought some nismoadjustable struts a while back and have installed using b310 controll arms ive gone with p510 front disks and calipers for now but would like to go to sylvia brakes in the future and nolethene bushes throughoutnext ill do the rear end prob shortened hilux lsd with bluebird disks and calipers and a set of traction bars.

these are the struts i bought there gas filled nismo b310 struts im running250lbs sprins on them at the moment may go something a bit firmer down the line.i allso installed some s13 camber plates for a bit of adjustment

Youll find from factory some of the joins around the roof line where sub par.

"phatsun"'s old 180b was the same. you could see where the joint was mated

been a long time since i visited this last' few thigs have changed i managed to tack down a dog leg 5 speed 60 series gearbox which i put in drove it for 6 months then it chewed the front and rear bearings in the gearbox. so i parked it up and got a new daily driver. ive since had the box refurbished installed the adjusties with 250psi springs using 1600 hubs and front disks and calipers.

Image

while doing this i replaced all the tie rod ends pitman arm center draglink and the steering and front suspension bushes with whiteline nolathane bushes.

Image

the eagers were pretty fucked so after doin a few skids i replaced them with these kumho ectsa 712's 215/50/13 they were very hard to come buy and quite priccy but for there level of grip worth the extra coin the car is like driving a go gart very responsive and fully glued to the road

Image

while it was off the road it was becomonig aparant the rust was getting pretty bad every panel had at least one if not 5 little bubbles on it un fortunatly i didnt get any photos of the painting process turned out it looked worse than it was couple of small holes in lower rear guards patched and front of bonnet re made to nearly a foot up its length. the color is a bit off a one off my brother inlaw is a painter and he just kept all his silver baseoat paint from jobs left over and added a heap off black to it. pretty happy with result although it was at paint shop for 6 months.

ive had it back for nearly a month now and have since been replacing all the rubbers on the doors

the only thing stoppin me getting it legal is a leak in my gearbox at the rear where the drive shaft yolk slides in my drive shaft has war on the input shaft so am currently seeking replacement. plan is to fix leek get it legal the get some sidedrafts and new carpet electronic dizzy then cruise it
