Just been looking at mine xmember and the sandwich plates that hold the thing on seem to be a bit slogged out.
I assume people either get new plates made up but eventually the same will happen. is there a more permanent fix that people have come up with to hold the front xmember in a more solid manner?

I know the plates you mean. They do seen awful thin don't they. maybe they were slotted if the Xmember was reversed?

I don't really like how the xmemeber attaches to the front "chassis" at all. Bolts that run right through the front "rails" with captive crush tubes (ala 110/210/310 ect) is far better imo.

I was thinking of replacing those thin plates with some thicker ones when my Xmember goes back in for keeps.

Those holes need to be slotted in order to reverse the Xmember, since the chassis rails aren't parralelle.

So its more a intentional slog rather than from the day to day stress and movement?

gotta be intentional, as ive never seen a 1600 xmember like that before.

I was thinking maybe someone left the bolts loose causing it to slide back and forth. keeping it mind it was a flat peaker who owned it before me.

na, if its been reversed, then thats definately intentional slotting.
I soltted my holes similar to that when installing the CA18 (front sump)

really, you should weld up the hole and drill new ones lol
