Just found this thread. Have a gander at some excellent work. This guy must have a massive bank account.

Wal, he must have seen Santa painting my inner wheel arches.

"wanted a perfect Z''

Not computing!

Cool as shit none the less, just needs more cylinders and induction roar in my opinion.

Ive stumbled across a fair few American 240 builds using SR's and mean V-mount setups.

A worked SR20 is probably the best engine choice for a Z. Lightweight, set back in the engine bay, the thing would handle like a dream.

Having the struts set so far forward, (I noticed this when Ross' Zed was at wals) you'd end up with a mean handling machine. I doubt a Zed would weigh any more than a silvia.

Stock weight distribution is 52/48 IIRC. The lightest models were the first ones which our USA friends call "series 1" which came in at around 1043KG. The "series 2" was introduced in early 71 and it gained somewhere close to 130KG and obviously the performance suffered. It took Nissan a further 10 years to get a faster 0-100 time than the "series 1" when they introduced the L28ET in the ZX.

As for sound, you gotta love this L28, round tops, 4.11
