Now thats how to build a mother f**king car properly, just beautiful. I used to do resto work, its so so painstaking but when its done is undescribable..you must be fizzing. Any chance of adoption? Id be keen to have that handed down to me aye.
Most people must jazz pants over your daily, but to have both is plain cheeky!
The rear seat is gorgeous, is that upholstered or an interior kit?

Hey thanks , the interior is being done by a proper auto trimmer, very slow (8 mths now)but a great job, i carnt wait to see the new door cards, they were suppose to be finished last week along with the front seats.
its a slow but enjoyable process

Time for a update, door cards are done, front seats done, diff reco, gearbox reco, drive shaft blasted ,powder coated and new joints, new wheels turned up from japan, dash in-progress.

its difficult to comment on this thread anymore, as it just about leaves me speechless.

This car will be one of the finest restored Datsuns in this country ever, and probably one of the cleanest 1600's in the universe!

Not too far to go now by the looks of it, can't wait to see it finished - as I bet you do.

and BTW you must have one hell of an understanding wife, to allow you to pour this much time, passion and $ into this car! :lol:

For the record - my wife doesnt understand at all.... :roll:

but I am an obsessive / compulsive , and have no discipline whatsoever with my Datsun-holism

She threatened to divorce me when I brought a rusty 1200 rally car a few years back...

Still cant understand wheel choice for resto. Would love to see it on steels and hubcaps!
