Lincoln, Got power mig 180, its the replacement for the sp170t which im sure a few of the datsun boys have.
Its more or less the same except 180amp, and it now has infinitely adjustable voltage. Pretty happy, you can see its well made.

Quick wee update, I put the welder to use this weekend and decided to finish off the welding on the diff and make a start on the rust, I only manged to get a few hours this weekend but i'm pretty keen to get the body wrk out of the way asap.

I finished welding on the spring plates so now i just need to give it a bit of a clean and a paint then its off to get rebuilt with a tricky dick LSD, I have all the bearings and seals ready to go so not much more to do.

I did one of the the patches on the wheel arch, it came up pretty good there is a little bit of distortion but nothing too serious.

Also got my sill section tacked in and i'll finish welding it in during the week

Thanks wal, I'm pretty happy with how i'm progressing, My welding needs to improve a bit more, but buying that welder is the best thing I ever did as I now have a quality welder to work with instead of the cheap muck one I was borrowing off my mate. The difference between the two is unreal.
So anyone thinking of buying a welder, I can't recommend enough the wee lincoln i've got. Its fanastic and pretty well priced too
