Give 120ymad a PM (Duncan), He tried putting an l18 into his 120y so he will know...from the sounds of things though it wasnt a very fun idea. However he will be able to give some good advice.

You might have to put the A12 back in so you can still bring your beast on the Akoroa cruise.......

It's not that hard apparently, I did a small writeup on my site for it that might help -> http://www.datfusion.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92

A guy posted on datsun1200.com that he used a complete 510 crossmember and arms in his 120y in the USA, all bolted in (unconfirmed though). It does sound possible, as the 140z from South Africa came with an L14 from memory, so datsun using the same gear wouldn't surprise me, obviously I can't confirm though.

The aussie guys talk about using stanza stuff for this swap. But we got sweet fuck all stanzas here. I think someone else used 610 stuff. I believe it's not quite that straight forward though..... Maybe get chris and wal to mount it up for you?

From what i remember of duncan doing his he didnt have much trouble with the cross member (found one and modified it somehow)..but due to the un-completeness off it i think he must of struck trouble somewhere.

One thing i did notice before i realized what it was with my stanza before i dumped it is that the cross member is factory reversed. (for fitting a SR) (kinda wish i didn't do that now)

So if you were to use a Stanza cross member you would need to get the sump to suit.

That was me.
I put an L20B into a KB310. What a prick of a job! I'd never do it again!
