From the pretty huge cloud that is a perfectly nice datsun being crushed comes the very thin silver lining of my car being lowered. Did it all in two days with the help of Greg and my little brother.

First off this is the car just before Akaroa Cruise 2009

New back end stuff

I decided to switch over the calipers for obvious reasons

But the bolt hole was rooted. Everything was pretty straight foward until then so I got a bit panicky, but the engineering firm 100m down the road ran a tap through it and didn't even charge me. Crisis averted then.

Vile mudflaps begone!

All done then

There are a few things to be ironed out, front drivers side spring is captive when just the drivers side is jacked up, but it is loose when the front end is jacked up. One of the nuts holding in the drivers side front wheel is loose so just spins when you try tighten the mag nut. I'm thinking I might just swap out the whole disc setup thing instead of mucking around with the bolts. keen to get it warranted before the end of the year...and hopefully these pictures will inspire you to sell me that pair of 14x6 jdm mags that you have sitting in your shed doing nothing so I can get rid of those cheviots on the front.

Good work Dominic!
Glad to see you're not frightened to give the old girl a bit of love/imporve her.
I must say that this car is probably the tidyest KB310 (Sunny coupe for the uninitiated) I've ever seen. So many of these were rusty creatures, and yours is the rarest of exceptions. I look forward to seeing you and it on the Rakaia cruise in feb.

I have a pair of shortened B310 front gas shocks for sale. Less than 2 years old, and only done a few thousand km's. From memory they're KYB. Another forum member has first option on them, but let me know if you're interested, in case he doesn't want them.

Hope you find some new mags for the front. When I stick my thumb over the computer screen to block out the Cheviots it looks cool!

Because the suspension was all done professionally by mag and turbo I'm hoping there's still a warranty on it, I have the receipts and I'm hoping they will be forthcoming with post-purchase support, but yeah I guess these things are never as simple as just bolting them in...always something to trip you up.
