Almost finished some rust repairs around my rear window, just wondering if anyone knows where to get these stud things from (or if you can get them) or even just their proper name

Yeah that will be my last option, though i'm thinking it may not work as well because the poprivets will probably distort the clips that hold the trim and also hold them at an angle, so not sure how well the chrome trim will be held on.

Maybe you could get someone to turn some up for you on a lathe. Then drill a few holes for them, and once they're in place tack them from the other side with a MIG?

not when you compare it to the amount of time and effort thats gone into cutting out the rust and welding in new steel...
Might look at poprivets with spacers to get clips sitting right.
Def don't want crooked Rangi looking crome trim around the window at the end of all this
