if i was to buy a set of 4 used l16 conrods of a member on this forum
what do you guys recon would be a fair price?
taking into account on one hand i need them so will spend money getting them, and on the other hand mates rateds and the fact complete l16's sell on trademe ever so often for $100-150.
what do you guys think?

Hard one, can be awkward not wanting to rip a mate off or insult him, but not wanting to be ripped off either.
I just swapped a complete engine for a set of rods and an air cleaner, I guess it's what you are both happy with in the end.
If an engine is $1-200 I guess it has to be a portion of that, keeping in mind you aren't having to buy all the bits you don't need the portion may be higher than the % of engine you are buying.

I'd say rods alone are worth more than a knackered shortblock.
Taking a worn out motor apart and pressing the pisons off them is a dirty turd of a job.

I disagree
i think l14 rods would be worth A lot more than l16 rods since they are so much harder to get.
since NZ is one of the places to get L14's?
