well, my alternator blew in my 910 bluebird being back on the road 1 week
it had been off the road (in grandads possetion) for 2 years :(

i have found a fully chromed 1 off a fellow datsun nut, here in nelson for $60!! :burnout:
but, i need to bypass the factory regulator, due to the internal one in new alternator. :thumbsup:

can any one help?? its my only car, and dont want to ride the scooter all winter... :mrgreen:

I've got a picture off the net that I used when I bypassed my external regulator in my 610 since the Z18ET one was internally regulated:

I found that the datsun 1200 forum had quite a bit of useful information. One thing to note: I had to solder a diode into the circuit that connects to the charge light to stop current backfeeding and making the light stay on even if the alternator was charging correctly.
