I assume the 5 speeds are different to the 4 speeds? If no I have a spare 4 speed one.

From what I've read trolling forums, the cross member for the 60a gearbox sits too far back or something like that (2 inches?) from the standard 1200 mounting points, so I believe you have to fabricate a new cross member to allow for the difference (or buy a custom/prefabricated mount).

According to the datsun1200.com website, there are a few options available. Check out http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki ... atsun_1200" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for more details.

I personally will be doing the same thing in the coming months (for the first time) so if you don't get around to it before me, I will pass on what I do with pictures hopefully :)

Yep it has to be a custom made piece. I have seen them for sale on bproject (think thats right) but price is up there. Get the feeling i,ll end up be making my own but thought if someone had one about then that would save some hassels.....
I,ll also pass on info to you, thanks........Jas

Have you checked the fitment, some boxes have a reverse switch in line with, (in the same place as) where the current mount bolts to the car, the 60a sometimes isn't just a bolt up mod, check this forum I'm sure this has been discussed recently.
