An important safety feature in 1969 which is often left out of rebuilds of Datsun 1600's is for the passengers safety.
I think the popular myth at the time was "The driver is hanging on to the steering wheel so we wont distract him with one of these!".
We felt that it needed to be included in our rebuild.

We also felt that as things have improved since 1969 we have made a concession and put in seat belts which you can just see in the picture.
Hope we haven't upset the purists.....

I used to get complaints that my 1200 doesn't have any jesus handles.
Not that it needs them. It's so slow, and the driver is so restrained.....
