Hey Guys,

Just wondering what pulleys and bearings people have used for their supercharger tensioners? I can't get to pick a part for a couple of weeks at least so keen to try to track something down on trademe.

Alternatively if someone has something lying around that is suitable that they want to sell, let me know.

Supercharger is a toyota SC12

Im just going to use the supercharger itself on a pivot with a couple of tensioner bolts, kinda like an alternator.

HIt up lewishorrel on here. He used a subaru cam belt tensioner can proably give you the part number

I use a durotorque tensioner made by BD tensioners, and bought from wilson brothers. It applies good tension, and works well.

Wont work if the belt is too long because it will flap around and keep getting thrown off. Other than that I cant think of any other down sides.

I'll have to take a gander at it when it's light outside. (maybe a tsr?)

I fucked the nylon roller off, and went to a cutom made alloy one. The bearings in the nylon one shit out, and cost me an appearance at the 2009 Akaroa cruise. So the alloy one is bigger, and so are the bearings to lower their speed, and lengthen their life.

I got some italian bearings after myn packed up, they can handle something stupid like 40,000rpm
