I am still looking for some l16 conrods.

I've found some new old stock genuine nissan rods, set of 4 shipped to my door for $145 (plus 4% papal fee)

That sound aright? is that better than from cockram, any one know?

I reckon that sounds very good, ring Scott at Cockrams and get him to price them, he's a good guy and often on here. (But I'd tell the Catholics to shove their 4%)

Cheers I might give him a buzz, though im tempted to not because surely cockram would be a lot more expencive than that.

They also have a New old stock L18 crank for $889 to my door, but im not sure if i can justify that cost.

since finding a old one locally, then having it ground and balanced.

its not going to cost $889.

(since i really want a l18 crank for my z18)

Even new you'd really want to balance it if you are looking for serious Horse Power, more cost

Yea really I should just use my z18 crank since I'm not making any stupid power.
I'm just expecting it to need a good grind since my engine has done more than 200,000

Balancing isnt that expensive in CHCH anyway, Dan Jordan got bits from my motor done at Mace. For crank, rods, pistons (6 cylinder L series, cleaned as well) was $207 inc gst. :D

Pm me if your really keen on a L18 crank i'll see about pulling one from a motor at my local scrap yard. Engine was insanely clean inside apparently he had had $4000 spent on it at some stage according to the guys who chopped it up, Can't see where you would spend $4000 on a L18 that still had a single down draft though,

You'll have to pay what ever i need to pay for it. Im guessing round $1-$1.50/Kg
And a little extra to warrant me pulling it out.
