It might not idle correctly or may stall on an air flow metered motor. You need to plumb in it after the air flow meter but before the turbo.

I can't really think of why it doesn't work properly at the moment, when you had it running without the plumb back line on you had the blow off valve removed completely? Did you have either of the holes (where the valve goes or where the plumb back line goes) bunged up? The valve should be closed at idle so it should have any affect on it, it sounds to me like it needs some extra air to idle. What happens if you put the BOV on without the plumb back line?

When I had the bov disconnected I didn't have any of the holes bunged up but it seemed to idle better?? I'll give that a go will just have to block off the plumb back line off at the turbo pipe completely. You'll have to come round sometime I actually don't know as much as I thought I did about turbos haha

Ok so last night I ditched the plumb back completely and it kinda helped?? Still not idling on its own straight away had to rev it for a little bit before it would idle properly. It does sound like the engine has a bit of a miss so guess that wouldn't help either....

With it plumbed like that is the BOV fully closed at idle? Does it zututu hard now?

I had to adjust it right up as I could feel air coming out of it at idle it still zututus just as hard as when it was plumbed... so pass??? Come have a look for me sometime oh great RFB guru haha
