I saw a CA18de with an A series distributer mounted into where the CAS normally goes.

thank you for the heads up "cuzns over the tasman" will pm brocky41 as
he was supposedly selling some of the stuff on the trader not long after.
A series dizzie on the CA! hopefully not a points dizzie!
unless he really wants the oldskook look as he can then
use copper insulated wires and brass T connectors which
would qualify it for a SteamPunk CA18.

Well Brocky-san sold the carbed stuff for the CA18de so if the
current owner doesnt need it will happily be ready for it.

Hey D,
If you were able to source a 4 port head, it wouldn't be too undo-able to make your own manifold. Simply make a plate to match the ports in the head, and then make some flanges to match your carbs of chioce. Then make up some runners to go between the two. You might get away with running an 8 port head, but you'd really need to port out the divider between the two portsso that the incoming charge had a smooth transition into the head between the ports. Take a look at usernames "Meminto"s head porting in the CA18 specific forum at the nico forums. It wouldn't be rocket science I don't reckon aye.

Heya Bart!
4 port heads are as rare as yourself ; )
Got someone to tig me some material top and bottom so I can just port out the dividers.
Manifold same thing will add material at the top and bottom and go berzerk with the dremel

It would actually be easier to do it with a 8 port. Get a weber flange water cut, weld it to the lower half of the manifold and port to match. Also remove the butterflies and get the holes welded up first

Are you sure the spacing of the ports on the sub manifold would match the spacing of the weber/dellorto sidedraft carb(s)?
I'd lean more toward making both sets of flanges, and running tubes between the two. Then smoothing out the area between the two ports so there's no restriction.
