Another weird electrical problem

So I got my car back from the panel beaters after an extended period of rust removal and drove it around for three days without any issues, then yesterday after I stalled it once getting it started the CHARGE light stayed on even though the car was running (and the lights were working etc), it went off after a little while but now my indicators, fuel gauge and water temp. meter have stopped working
Ive checked over the fuses and they are all OK, also the indicators flash normally when I put on the hazard lights except for the marker lights on the fenders. Which makes me think back to the panel beaters saying something about having to extend the wires for those (even though they were connected perfectly fine before)?
Anyone have the slightest clue what the problem could be? And the fix
*Also this is for a '78 120y sedan
