Post by 73violet »

ok so the 73 140j is a 710 right?
will a l20b and 5 speed from a 910 bluebird fit?

also my clutch bites really high, and being hydraulic i cant adjust it so im told.

a mate told me if i change the clutch master cylinder to a bigger one it will adjust the bite point down,

my question is which datsun has a bigger one?

also as far as seats go, are there any other 4 door datsuns with the same shape and size seats,

my ones are from an 81 sunny and they dont fit, i also have retractable seatbelts from a datsun ute of some sort which are more uncomfortable than wearing a womans g string to the beach.

A clutch releasing high usually indicates the clutch plate linnings are getting low, that is if you have ruled out the hydraulic system at fault. A bigger master or slave wont change the fact that the clutch is buggered.

Really? The clutch setup in my 180B is hydraulic and I have adjusted when it engages by adjusting the shaft that connects the clutch pedal to the master cylinder.

That is correct,But as i said this is if you have eliminated a hydraulic problem at fault,eg.master cylinder adjustment would be a hydraulic problem .
Less freeplay at master usually gives you a higher release point on the pedal,
More freeplay at master usually gives you a lower release point on the pedal.
Although you should not have to adjust master cylinder. :deadhorse: :highfive:
