Sup peeps, As part of my degree I'm doing a bit of a film project on Datsuns with a racing history in the South Island, at the moment I've got a 1200 coupe and 160j sss on board that both raced in the 80's as well as a Tench Brothers sponsored 1200 sss that has a bit of a rally history, but I'd hate to leave anyone out if they have something special in their garage with a bit of history. Let me know, I have plenty of information to go on at this stage but I just want to make sure I don't leave anything out! Cheers, Dom.

One that is mentioned on there is Wayne (Noddie) Murdock from Timaru, he has his own history, and some interesting cars. The 240z he campaigned early on in classics is now in ChCh.

yup timaru is where it is at, Ive been down there for the last two days meeting all the big names in the valiant charger scene, and when I say I'm keen on datsuns as well theyre all like "well all these valiant guys race datsuns as well." Its nuts. I have called at least two of the charger guys back after someone else has told me they race datsuns as well. Valiants and Datsuns! Datsuns and Valiants! Everyone loves Datsuns and Valiants!!
