diff head problem! argh

hey i took my diff head out an just put the other one in
but the part where it connects to the driveshaft is diffrent, holes dont line up looked at taking the old one off but wasnt budging, so got the one of the other diff head but they dont line up either an he spine where it slides onto in place is diffrent. has anyone came across this problem before? or anyone have any ideas on what to do? thanks

Sounds like you have an H145 head, instead of an H150.
I might have a driveshaft with the correct flange for the H145.
Is your old diff pinion flange, and largish round one? And the new one more of a rectangle?

the other one of the two i got is round, my orignal is rectangle an the one thats in it is small an square does that help?

Yeah, that sounds like an H145.
They're not quite as strong as the H150. 5mm sounds like fuck all, but I've had much better longevity from H150's over H145's. If I get over to the workshop today I'll try to remember to pull the driveshaft out of the roof, and see which one it is.

hey threw that diff head in,but when went to push it the left back wheel is hard to turn but does an make a clonking noise an locks up but when ya jack it in the air an spin the right one the left one spins the other way fine?

nope.. going to have to pull the diffhead back out an pull out that axel see whatsup with it..havent jacked it back up yet been busy clearing stuff out an we cut a big hole in the door an putting a single garage door on one side so can drive straight through an park in the back yard... cheaper than extending it but will get their one day.. every mans dream a big garage
