I scored a Sunny for cheap cheap back in early jan. Leppa and I went down to glenavy, and saved it from going to scrap.
I'm getting kinda close to starting it up.

It's not much to look at in that pic, but I'm hoping to have it road legal in time for Akaroa.

I scored an A12 and four speed for it at the right price. And I've replaced a few bits and bobs that weren't up to my spec.
With a bit of luck, Tracey will be taking it on the cruise. And I'll be in the 1200.

Last night I borrowed the battery from my daily, and kicked the old girl in the guts.
With a bit of cranking, she burbled into life. It currently has an open exhaust, so I didn't give her too many revs. Also I suspect that the Accelerator pump is shagged. When I massage the throttle, the engine stumbles before the rpms climb.
also I've found that the waterpump leaks like a bullet riddled seive. I have a spare in the shed, so fingers crossed it's not fisted also..............
All that aside, I'd say there is a 70% chance that this car will be making it's debut at the nats. Fingers crossed huh!
