Down at my local scrap yard is an L18 with long case 5speed box on the back of it.

Ive been keeping an eye out for a old L series box to hack up for the input shaft and front piece of bell-housing so i can start engines on the ground.

Im in north land which is a bit of a hassle for most of you but if anyone has an old shagged 4 speed they want to trade for the 5 speed let me know. I don't car if the 4 speed has been sitting in the rain for the last 5 years so long as bell-housing is good.

Its from a guy who used to race 180b stock cars alot so who knows what condition its in. Engine has single down draft carb with no aircleaner an i would say its now full of water.

Got the box be fast if no one wants it i'll be chopping it up.

Engine has a A87 head on it if anyone is interested. I'll be able to pull it off this Sunday if its still there,
It has been living out side and shows signs of plenty of water having been through it.

Its a long case you really want a short case stumpy box for a 710.

Send me up the front 75mm of the gearbox or just the bell houseing and if you pay freight you can have the 5 speed.
id rather it be used than get chopped up.

I have a mate with a 720 with a 4 speed in it he might want it so i'll try that before i wreck a possibly good gearbox.

I'd be keen on the A87 head if it looks like it hasn't been removed from the block before (i.e. the bottoms of the numbers haven't been removed from being planed).

Oh and the price has to be right as well. Chur.

I'll look into it this weekend if i can get a chance to pull it off then i can put it on the scales and get a price. I do suspect its had a bit of water through it though.
Im not out to make money off it you can have it for what ever it would cost me to buy it.
Plus postage.

Which would prob be 2 tickets.
