can you use r31 diffs as a replacement for a datsun bluebird 910 inderpendant rear??

Only if it's a japanese assembled R31. But even then there is a bit of jiggery-pokery required to make it work.

a subaru legacy diff bolts striaght in i have a lsd in the rear bolt holes line up perfectly :D plus alxes and drive shaft go in sweet aswell

Not necessarily, if your 910 uses snap rings to retain the axles in the diff then Subaru diffs work ok, but the Subaru R160 VLSD I had didn't have any provision for the Datsun axle bolts. If you have a CV rear end you may have the snap ring type though - I know Steve's old 910SSS did. Make sure you don't get a Torsen diff either, they require a longer axle stub on one side to engage the LSD, without it you have a 1 wheel drive car.
