Just saw this thing on HybridZ, 90mm bore, 89mm stroke dry sumped L series block with an RB26 head.

Sexy. Sorry to all those who couldn't view it, I had to sign in to view the Photo. Interesting. Wish you hadn't gone to all the trouble of fitting the whole engine now Daniel?

Whoops, didn't realise, I've fixed it now.
And nah, it looks like it was an awful lot of work looking at the custom belt drive etc etc. It's only a block anyway and the RB has a girdle factory. He said something about keeping the block so he can run in a particular racing class, seems a bit silly they'd allow a completely different head but an original-ish block.

The blocks are OK, the crank I'd be worried about. Does seem interesting rules. But interesting engineering exercise too. Yeah lots of work, and a compromise on the RB.

Seems like a huge amount of time and effort for the gains involved. Still, it's probably more sensible than cutting up and welding 3 KA24DE heads to make one 6 cylinder head for an L series like that other guy did.

Do you have the hybrid z link?
I've seen a guy in japland fit an RB20e head to an L6, actually sounded awesome although it appeared like a stupid amount of work just for a cross flow head.

I love the intense amount of engineering that went into that.
If i was and engine builder i would do stuff like that just because I could.
