Hey guys,
who's keen on a Southern (SI) cruise of some sort?
We think one is well overdue. It will likely need to be an overnight cruise, to make it worthwhile.
What are some suggestions for locations we could go to, or events that we might be able to go watch e.t.c.?
We were thinking end of April/Start of May

Here are some dates and Motorsport event to consider as a destination for a cruise if no one in the south has any alternative suggestions.
Eastern Southland Car club have a Gravel sprint on the 12th of May, sure to be some Datsuns running there!!
Rally Otago, 25-27 May, this should include the Otago Classic Rally. Well worth a look.
Classic Motor Racing Club, Timaru, April 28th. (Watch for oil, many British cars)
Autosport have a sprint on the 20th. (No Location given)

Is anyone south of Christchurch interested in a cruise in their area? Not all Datsun owners in ChCh are Boga.. We'll be on our best behaviour, promise.

I reccomend Oamaru.
Two Datsun guys Hayden & Brent have travelled reguarly to Akaroa/Hanmer/Rakaia cruises so lets repay the favour and cruise down there for the weekend. Book a cabin each in the local motorcamp
The old buildings in Oamaru are awesome to walk around and take pictures of the Datsuns. Also the penguin colony is a good watch. There is also some great roads out the back Hayden and Brent could show us. They could also sshow us there Datsun collections.
Also great resturants there too that ive seen cater for large groups.
Good Family vibe too with the cabins and activitys

It's a shame that Hayden no longer has internet access at home. I'm sure he'd be keen to promote it as a viable destination.
