Hey, have many people done the electric fan conversion here? if so, what fan controller did they use? water temp sensor ect. would the stock alternator need to be upgraded to something around 100A ?

Fan controller just fit a temp switch,
Cheap as fit to the top tank radiator hose or thermostat hosing.
Go approx 5-10 degrees higher than your thermostat rating.

Go down to your local parts place ask them for there Tridon catalog and have a look through the back of it, Lists all the pictures and threads etc. If you mount it to the top hose you will need a switch with two terminals. Same if your radiator isn't earthed and you mount it in there. (factory one should be on a Datsun). If its aftermarket you will need to test this.

Wire it up with a relay and a fuse.
As for alternator prob depends on what you have now.

I bought a sensor, 2 pin type, would i be able to put this at the bottom of the radiator or will it not be hot enough? is there any way to use the existing temp senor?

The bottom tank will be alot colder than the top of the radiator which is in relation to the temp of your engine (water has just been there) You could use the bottom tank but you will need to work out your own temp sender by going to something with a much cooler switch point.

The stock temp sender is just that its a gauge sender not a switch,

What is the heat range of the 2 pin switch you brought?
