some of you may or may not have seen this on trade me.
motors siezed so on the look out for another. have started doing the rust, wasnt as bad as i first though
anyway heres some pics, will get some better ones when i can get it out of the garage
as you can see a 30 minute polish and it came out alot better

semi restore and lower, thats pretty much it, maybe full resto further down the track

had this on my watch list, very cool car, was so tempted to bid, but timeing is all wrong for hoarding cars, good to see it on the forum, will be keeping an eye on your build thred.

cheers bart, have always lurked, thought id sign up and give it a whirl, should be some good progress over the long weekend.
have done a bit to it allready, un siezed the brakes, almost ready to yank the motor out. have cut some rust etc

maybe find out why the motpr nipped up? It'd be fucking cool to keep the original early series motor with matching numbers in a car this old and rare. If you wanna throw it on an engine stand, and perform an autopsy, let me know.

Try and keep the original engine if possible - you can use later L6 parts inside to replace bits that are a bit beyond reco. Those engines were produced in very small numbers making way for the L24 just a year after these first appeared. If budget is a concern - just put a L24/26 in there for now while you strip the L23 and do it correctly - this engine needs to say with this car
But then it is your car so do with it as you like

if you need any parts let me know. Im coming to nz next weekend and will have about 15kg of capacity
i might have some l23 parts left lurking about. Not manyparts from the later l24/26/28 will fit. the timing covers are different, the sump also.
