Hi

i have been serching ages for a timing set (chain, gears and guides) for my L18 but cant seen to find a supplier that has them. I put a new full setup in when i bought all the gear for my motor 3 years back and only done 3 races when the engine went bang and I am wanting to replace it again as I am worried is may be buggered.
I am also after a head bolt kit and i really overheated the engine and im worried i may have stretched the bolts. What are your thoughts on buying high tensile bolts from a nut/bolt shop, has anyone done this otherwise my option is to bring some arp studs from the states.

Any help will be greatly apprieciated.

Cheers

for the cost of decent bolts, you would be halfway to the cost of the ARC stud kit. from what i know, studs and nuts are better as they can be used over and over and dont really stretch. perfect for a racecar.

as for the timing set, contact member Brdflu. he may be able to get something as he works for cockram nissan here in chch

Datsport do an adjustable L series kit. It's not that cheap though.

I couldn't find head studs for the L18 i tried found them for the L20B but wasn't sure if they were the same or not. Not cheap though.
