Does anyone know anything regarding the reincarnation of this?

I'm hearing bits of information from "Someone who hears it from someone"
hes in the right place so don't doubt the truthfulness of this.
But its only snipits.

So far ive heard.

Only originally fitted motors that had 2valves per cly.
Engine setback is only aloud to be as far back as No1 Cly (not sure if that's the first plug or the most rearward plug)
70-85
1000-1300 1301-1600 1800-200
No turbos

Anybody else have something to contribute?

Thats such a killer site - ive got dad onto this site as he has many photos from Grand Prix days in Pukekohe etc and sports sedans racing with the PDL mustang etc.

Shellsport kinda paved the way for relatively (to start with) cheap racing in the 90's - you even won prize money and got on TV!!

The person trying to make is John Gobbe. I believe he resides in Christchurch with a collection of race cars.

Sorry. John Gobbe is apparently trying to make it happen. He has been around for many years, ex Motorsport Technical Officer and race car buyer.

Carlo from Roaring Season wrote:Currently there are a few more cars or replica cars around the district, plus Grant Aitken has his car sitting above his office and John Gobbe has found and brought up somewhere around 11 -12 old Shellsport cars and is restoring all of them

Hmm, looks a 2 seater 280ZX weighs about 100Kgs more stock than an R30, wonder if one could keep up if both cars were running L20s Adam? :)
