my 1978 datsun 160j sss build

Post by whittleone »

hey guys just thought i would start a build thread to have somewhere to keep a place of what i have done to my car and also let others see what I'm doing to my car,

i haven't owned this for long but i plan to slowly build it to be something, and i haven't really decided what yet but i will slowly get there.

i haven't taken pictures of what i have done to date but mostly i have just bought new rear shocks at 2 inches shorter to make the springs captive since i cut them

-built a new rear boot floor
-made a centre console surround for the gear stick
i will keep you guys updated on what i do with this car

i also compete in gymkhana events which is very fun and a great learning curve

any comments and hints and tips is muchly appreciate and also your ideas on what i should do with the car!
cheers!

okay so an update on the car, haven't got any pics of all the stuff but got a few so will add them as well.

recently i have put in new munroe shocks which made the rear springs captive and gave it a bit of a softer ride.
i put a locked diff in so i can compete in gymkhana's and other events, will try to keep it on the down low.
i gave the car a nice tune and its running mint now
i bought a new grill for the front which i think looks better!

will try to keep this updated more!

New grill really sets this thing off.
