Engine and gearbox are coming out of my 510 tomorrow morning. Which im not planning on keeping in the car.
Last time it was run was about 3 months ago.
Im new to datsuns but ive been told its an L16 ? If thats correct.
Im in auckland , any offers will be good!

Is that the OSH / ACC approved method of bench testing motors?
Open to atmosphere fuel vessel - check
unrestrained rotating engine assembly - check
Electrical shorting on starter solenoid - check
Free hangine coil appendage adjacent to fan - check
Using one arm & foot to work as torque prevention device - check
engine running - check, no worries!......
EPIC effort mate, although I was cringing that was going to turn into a You tube "fail" video...

I found this rather interesting to watch but was wondering why didnt you just start it when it was in the car, at least water would have been passing through the engine etc but by all means nice effort.

I agree its even more fun starting an EFI engine on the ground.
I can't watch that vid for some reason im actually disappointed i didn't get to see it.
