taiwai doorskin advice

hay guys im panelbeating my 1200 ute atm,
finally getting it done,
has anyone had a go with fitting the taiwanesse door skins you can get???

im in to minds weather or not to chuck some new door skins on or not as they are quite cheap
the whole door shells apear to be miles different looking at the one nicole had but a skin might not be too bad??

Taiwanese panels generally have accurate shaping but its often the edges and holes that dont line up or fit right. If you dont mind reshaping the edges or bumping a swage around then its quite worth while.
Who knows, you might be lucky enough to get a good one! Tai panels are always a bit hit and miss.

:agree: you will need some skills if attempting these yourself, however not an impossible task to fit.

yea well im a panelbeater by trade done quite a few door skins but never fitted a thaiwai one
was just wondering if anyone had done a 1200 one?

Haha, mush did mine. I was alluding to this fact in my previous post/quote :mrgreen: They're never just a straight bolt up job based on peoples experience and seeing the work it took to do my front panels (check out my build thread).

had word from brdflu and i can get some genuine ones for 275 each as apose to 150 for thai mud ones so might just pay the extra for some nissan ones

Sounds good! Wish I had of known that at an earlier stage :P Be keen to see how they fit/what they look like from factory :)
