R200 stubs wanted / measurements

made a balls up thinking my circlip in diff stubs would fit the S13 LSD which has circlips on the stubs. measuring up wise looks like my old spec circlip in diff stubs are to short but not by much. does any one have any new school circlip on stub stubs that they can measure up for me? i went to a wreckers but they are useless, all i can get out of them is to take my chances and buy a diff.
if my suspicions are right then i can add some material to the end of my stubs for the circlips to sit on. so does any one have a old R200 stub lying around that i can rob some spline material from? chur.

I have some on my bench i could measure for you
flick up a sketch of what measurements you want and I can send you photo with dimensions drawn onto it

hope this makes sense. cheers man. if there is something better than the dust cover or the likes to reference then by all means use that.

Will do boss
Probably get my calipers out tomorrow night
makes perfect sense, I'm a CAD guy

On a related note, does anyone know if non-LSD R200 stubs will engage properly with a LSD centre?

Nope the LSD has a longer half shaft on one side

Only the viscous diffs have the extra piece on the end of the shaft. Normal axles work fine with the clutch LSDs.

Interesting, so if I have a C32 Laurel halfshaft (which isn't flanged at the differential end, inner CV has stub on it) I can use a mechanical centre without changing CV's correct? I haven't popped one out to see where the circlip is, but I'm thinking it will be same rear-end setup as a Z31.
Sorry for thread-jacking, just wanted to check out a few things relating to this stuff.

Yes, it should work.
I've tried 280ZX, Z31 & R31 axles in an HR31 LSD and also in my Kaaz diff that had S13 stub axles in it originally. I can't really comment on circlip location, if the axles are long enough they aren't going to fall out anyway

From what I have seen it depends on the location of the circlips. If the circlips in both applications are in the diff you will be fine. And vice versa with circlip on stub. But if you try and put circlip in diff stubs into a diff with circlips on the stubs they will be to short and if you try and put circlip on stub stubs into a circlip in diff diff you will prob get away with it though they may be a little long.
