Bit of a detour at taupo due to some crap sign placement by road workers. But otherwise smooth sailing all the way down. On the ferry at current.

yah, love the holiday season, I can actually work on my own stuff,
Today my father in law and I swapped out the engine in this and dropped in a second hand unit that I got off Kitch, a little carb and points swap over onto the new unit and it cranked right up, it runs like a sweet little A series should, doesnt blow smoke and doesnt rattle, although we scratched our heads for a while pondering a funny metalic noise that turned out to be the alloy coke can being sucked inside out with the breather tube lol. (the old motor didnt do that, so this one must have much better compression)

Check that your PCV valve isn't stuck open.

Yup same car.. running well now days..

Original engine for the car needs a full entire rebuild but thanks to a ministock engine shes breathing life..

Took a while to change the car back from the last owners mistakes

So wish I'd kept this , ran well when I had it , just couldn't justify keeping it when I had nowhere to garage it at the time , one of the best coupe shell I've ever had the pleasure of owning.
