hey guy just wondering here, i have a reverse dog leg 5 speed in my 160j sss and under heavy acceleration and up around 6000 rpm it makes a hugely awful noise, now im thinking its just the nylon bush at the end of the gear lever but is anyone able to tell me what it definitely is and where to get a recplacement?

i spose its just a really bad rattle, like if you push down on the gear stick while its doing it the noise will stop

ok so pulled it all apart today, turns out that the little shaft that goes through and is held on by a circlip was algood al there holding the gearstick down but there was no bushes at all, like someone before me had pulled it apart and just not put bushes in, so i didnt have new ones so i made one up from high strength plastic and some nylon to make some washers, all fixed :) problems solved.

Yep, my old sunny 4sp did this. Made some steel bushes, continued to do it :violin:
