Does anyone on here know what is involved to change a suzuki G13b distributor to a crank angle sensor (or if it can be done).
Other option is to make a right angle adaptor for the dizzy does anyone know how to do this?

From a very quick Google the later motors had crank angle sensors factory. Another option would probably be to mount a toothed wheel to the crank pulley and run an external pickup?

DOHC or SOHC? If the former use the distributor off a 86-88 car. The square boxy shaped Swift/Barina.
You can also adapt a Toyota distributor. Log in to teamswift.net and search for posts by dattman then find the thread on distributor. He is like me, a Christchurch ex Datsun man who has gone the Suzuki way...
Some makes the right angled adapter to fit the engine in Sierra/Samurai's

There is a build thread on datsun1200.com for this car. This is a pic from Datsun Day 2012 in Australia which was last weekend.
It's a Datsun 1000 coupe with suzuki motor, right angled dizzy.

By the spark set up it looks like they have done both Hayden, crank angle sensored the dissy and right angled it, surely with your wicked machining skills you could just convert it

It is a DOHC, what is the advantage of running the early model distributor?

Early dizzy only controlled spark. Later ones spark and fuel.
I am guessing you are trying to use some other form of ECU.
Derek is going to write a reply to your PM. He will be the one to come up with a solution for you!

Thanks for that, did a search on the swift forum last night and was a mission trying to find anything hence why I thought I would send him a pm.
Ideally I would like to run standard ECU to start with so the angled dizzy would be a good option but if I have to I will run after market.
My engine has yellow rocker covers so not sure what year it is, guess it will be some more research time to find out.

Did you buy the motor from Karl Celeste? If so it is a Mk1 84-89 Cultus engine from memory so dizzy spark only.
