does anyone have tourque setting for a12 a15s or even a repair manual i can buy?
also how do u pull a camshaft out?
im pretty sure its foulling up on where the pushrods go through
im guessing you need a magnet to pull the seats out or something stupidly easy? (couldnt find a magnet round home damnit)
and which headgasket should i run putting a a15 head on a a12 block would it matter either way?
thanks guys sory im a muppet lol

you'd need 8 magnets, the thing you are fighting against is gravity
invert the motor, easier done out of the vehicle.
the cam followers sit on the cam lobes, as you pull the cam out they drop down, as you say, fouling it. Have you removed the oil pump, fuel pump and distributor? these may foul also.
Are you fitting the head to an early front dizzy engine or a mid dizzy one?, if it is a late one then just fit an A15 gasket. Has the block been bored? if not then the A12 one should be fine, just check the oil feed hole lines up and seals if you are using an early block.
Hope this helps.

awesome yea il flip the a15 motor to get the cam out thatl work, might be buying 8 stick magnets to get the cam in the a12 though lol.. which hopefuly i wont have to pull out if i can help it
both motors and heads are mid mount dizzys so should be sweet there
il have to upgrade to a electronic fuel pump too wouldn't I? my dellortos won't run too flash on the standard pump
so a12 or a15 headgasket?

Probably best to upgrade fuel pump, dellortos can move a fair swag of fuel:) I have had to wait for the fuel pump to catch up on my a12. Bore size should determine gasket, if running 1200 slugs use 12oo gasket, make sure head is very clean or resurfaced. Have you planed the head to increase compression ratio?

The permaseal head gaskets that BNT sells are one size fits all.

running standard a12 bottom end but want to get a15 head played with and cam ground 4 sure, dunno what way to go about it to get the most from it to be honest.
barts put me onto rob some cam guy from kelfolds il give him a ring tomorrow
should be interesting to see how it all goes though for sure havent heard of too many people doing it as ya would just opt for a15 usually
