Just a couple of quick questions,
What are the differences between a 180b 4spd box and a 910 bluebird 5spd box? are they physically the same size? do they share the same mounting points?
does a L20b motor share the same mounts as a L18 motor? From what i have read a L20b is 20mm taller but that is the only physical difference between the two? Im guessing the L20b is just a stroked L18?
any advice appreciated cheers

L16 and L18 use the same blocks, L20bs are a taller block.

same mounting points on block, but there are differences in the mounting brackets to suit different crossmembers in different models.

The sumps (And dipsticks) also vary depending on the car. ie "midsump" or "frontsump" I spent hours moddifying an 810 frontsump to clear to drag link on my old 310 coupe, only to find that there was a sump from a 910 which had had rack an pinion steering that was just the right thing all along.

Thanks for clearing that up!

I have a L18 already mounted in the car, with mounts made up to suit, so i can re use those mounts with the L20 and if the sump on the L20 motor isnt the right one (havnt got the L20 yet) i will put the L18 sump on it..
