Running aftermarket temp gauge

How do you Gus do it on a a15 I went everywhere today trying to find a fitting as the sender is floppy with I go straight in to head.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but I can tell you that about 99% of aftermarket gauges seem to use those crappy NPT threads that are pretty much specific to the US market. Most of the taper threaeds in Datsuns and Nissans that I've seen are BSPT, which is close, but not compatible. My usual solution is to either get a fitting from work, or re-thread to BSP using a die nut or tap.

I had an adapter made to enable me to fit an aftermarket sender into the factory sender location.
Your other option is to drill and tap the flat flange on the passengers side of the head near the front just around the corner from the thermostat housing.
Also, chances are you're gonna be stuck with NPT. Thats just life. I fitted two sender to my engine. ONe for the engine temp, and another one in a boss welded into the supercharger discharge manifold.
