Gear box Fluid

Hey how much oil should be in a A series four speed box and what type of oil do
people suggest ??

My book states 0.8L for the 4 speed 1200 box.
I used to run engine oil in mine, was real good in the Southland winter, not too thick, depends how much punishment you are going to hand out to it. I wouldn't go over 75 weight I wouldn't think.

you can use any 75w90 weight oil - i would go for a quality oil such as Fuchs or castrol etc

I use Redline MT90 which is a 75w90 weight and is api4 (i think) the newer api5 grade stuff appparently chews out older syncros etc (what i was told)

The redline stuff is around $30+ a Quart (roughly 1 litre) though so make sure youve got new GENUINE quality seals in the box.

I lost $70 worth on the driveway/road etc due to shit seals.

Just google redline oils and youll find heaps of reviews etc.

Thats great guys just for the orange club car ! I feel the oil at present seems to thin.
