New Zealand Datsun Club

Im back working in chch, and the majority of the labour is malasian, untill I turned up they kept to themselves and wouldnt speak to any of the english speaking guys, they had smoko by themselves and lunch as well, now they are all talking together and have lunch and smoko at the same time, What made the difference........? A black datsun parked in the car park, the malasians knew what it was , half of them have owned a datsun at some stage, and all of them knew someone that either owned or still owns one, the malasian foreman even has a 140j coupe back in malasia land, and couldnt wait to bring in the photos of it, 2 of them have been for a blast down pound road and others are lining up daily. lol Go the mighty Datsun.

awesome - love it - its so funny how a certain type of car can do that.

Ive had countless elderly men and woman come up up to me and have a yarn about a datsun they have had. Most memorable was at a fish and chip shop in hawkes bay in TUFDAT - had a older guy come up just as id got the food and tell me about the 3 datsuns he'd had and traded in on for the next new model (b110, b210 and b310). He also liked my "modern" colour and the "aluminium wheels that looked alot better than the hubcaps" he'd had on his 120y.

He was totally oblivious that my feed was getting cold after 10mins but you just cant stop those convos
